The Kato HD55N4 is a compact mini excavator powered by a 63.8 HP water-cooled diesel engine, with a 12’8″ digging depth and an 11,071 lb bucket breakout force. It carries an operating weight of 12,733 lbs and drops to an 11,795 lb transportation weight for hauling. The result is full-size digging capability in a machine sized for limited-access work.
Hydraulics run on variable displacement piston pumps with auxiliary hydraulics standard, so attachments run out of the box through the factory A-F quick change valve. Maximum reach measures 246″, bucket capacity is 5 ft³, and swing speed tops out at 9 rpm. Two-speed travel moves the machine at 1.6 or 2.8 mph, a standard backfill blade handles grading, and 30° gradeability with 4.79 psi ground pressure keeps it working on soft and sloped ground.
This is a new unit, ROPS certified with short-lever hydraulic pilot controls and armrests for immediate operator productivity.
